zFTPServer Suite - File Transfers are just for Starters...

With zFTPServer Suite you have the potential do do much more than supporting file transfers. zFTPServer´s potential lies in its ability as a secure business information engine. Scripting, remote administration, 256 bit SSL/TLS support, virtual file system and multiple group inheritance are just buzzwords. What it really comes down to is business support and the customization options available.

Various business support systems can be built using zFTPServer as the engine.

  • Support systems using zFTPServer can be reactive so that when a customer files a support request an account manager automatically notified. If a customer starts looking at multiple help-files and FAQs the account manager can also be notified. Of course the customer will have access only to specific files based on multiple group memberships, if a customer e.g. upgrades a piece of software; group memberships can be automatically changed
  • Project management systems. Information can be distributed and shared globally in large projects, where web interfaces control both administration and use. Project managers and project members can subscribe and be notified of changes based on change subscriptions.
  • System migration. Rolling out an old file sharing system with thousands of users is generally a large and complex enterprise. zFTPServers scripting support allows the migration to be controlled using scripts where user rights are controlled entirely via group memberships (using variables) and where user specific directories are created automatically at user logon.
  • Access your files remotely via encrypted channels. Need to establish an on-demand encrypted tunnel to the company server. With strong encryption and ease of use working from home can be both safe and without a fuzz.
